People take up running for different reasons but once we’ve started most of us want to know if we’re improving and if so by how much. So quickly, measuring and analysing our training runs and races becomes a key component of improving running fitness. The most accurate and user friendly method is a GPS watch but up until now price has been a barrier to purchase. That is until next month when Garmin launch an entry version of their Forerunner range that accurately measures your time, distance and Heart Rate.
The new Garmin Forerunner 110 is a GPS Enabled sports watch designed for runners that will accurately track your time, pace and distance covered. It’s available in 3 colour ways, Black / Red, Grey or Grey / Pink.
Enhancements on previous models include plug and play functionality that makes the watch simple to use with no setup required, the GPS receiver operates with HotFix to speed up the time taken to find and hold a signal and battery time has been increased to 7 hours of battery life when training and 2 weeks of normal use. An added benefit is that the watch is water resistant up to 1 metre with no loss of GPS signal making it the perfect training partner for running and triathlon.
