Congratulations Rob on completing your first marathon at the 2010 Virgin London Marathon.
We first started working with Rob in early 2009 when he came to us looking to lose weight, improve overall fitness and to win a bet with work colleagues that he could lose more weight than them! Since then Rob has competed in over 20 running events, including 4 half marathons breaking his PB 3 times, lowered his 5k and 10Ks PB by 3 and 6 mins respectively and in April completed his first marathon in London, running an above average time and raising over £3.500 for Whizz Kids in the process. Oh and he became a father for the first time! Rob has combined all of this with an all consuming career.

Congratulations to the 617 runners from Sense, the deafblind charity, who completed the 2010 Virgin London Marathon creating memories that will last a lifetime and raising hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process.
The team were cheered on by the huge crowd and particularly the huge team of friends, families and Sense supporters who lined the streets of London to give the Sense runners the energy needed to complete the event.
We hosted a training day for the team in Hyde Park in March and provided the team with training programmes, knowledge and a Q+A service throughout the months of training that the team undertook.
Sense are currently looking for runners to take part in their running teams for the 2011 Virgin London Marathon and a host of other running events taking place across the UK. Apply online at the sense website.
